MacGyver Google
Is Docs just for word processing, Sheets just for numbers, and Slides just for presentations? No! Shall We Play a Game? Using Games and Puzzles to Make Learning Fun!
While I teach high school, any of these activities can be altered to use with your students. Sometimes no skill level is necessary; students are learning something. Sometimes knowledge of material is needed; assessment is given. Sometimes critical and quick thinking are needed; the puzzles get harder as we do them. I want the students to have fun and leave my class remembering that fun and connecting it to the material we do together.

K-12 RTI: Who's Engaged?
This session will focus on the engagement piece (often called the "Will" issue) in Response to Intervention (RTI) in virtual and hybrid settings. However, we feel that our process would be equally effective in a traditional face to face setting and welcome all attendees. We will share what we have done (what worked and what did not), how we survived the virtual influx of the 2020-2021 school year, and how we have adjusted and improved our process for the 2021-2022 school year. We will share our detailed sequential process, focusing on how we manage all the data and moving pieces using Google Forms, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.. As an added bonus we will include how our RTI team uses technology to collaborate with teachers, advisors, counselors, social workers, and admin to ensure that each student's individual needs are being addressed to offer them the best possible opportunity for success in virtual.
